Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Tripstor collects through this website, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept and what you can do about it. Last updated 12 October 2026.
Who we are
Tripstor plans personalised holidays for travellers in India. This website lets you explore destinations and send us an enquiry. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@tripstor.com.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and run the website.
- Details you give us: name, phone number, email address, travel plans (destination, dates, travellers, budget, departure city) and any message you write
- Details about your visit: pages viewed, the page that referred you, approximate location, device and browser type, and IP address
- Records of how you reached us, such as a call or WhatsApp conversation you start with us
How we use your data
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare itineraries and quotes
- To follow up on the holiday you asked about
- To understand which pages are useful and to keep the website secure and working
- To send marketing messages, only where you have agreed to receive them
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations
Consent
We ask for your agreement before contacting you about an enquiry, and before using non-essential cookies or sending marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us. Withdrawing does not affect anything we did before you withdrew.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where needed, and only the part that is needed:
- Hotels, transport operators and destination partners, when you ask us to check availability or prepare a quote
- Service providers that help us run the website, messaging, email and analytics, under their own confidentiality and security terms
- Authorities or advisers where the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights
Cookies
We use essential cookies so the website works and stays secure, and, where you agree, analytics and marketing cookies that help us measure and improve our pages. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may then work less well.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and for a reasonable period afterwards. We then delete or anonymise them, unless the law requires us to keep records longer. Technical logs are kept for a shorter period.
How we protect it
We use access controls, encrypted connections and limited staff access to protect your data. No online service can promise absolute security, so we also limit what we collect in the first place. We never ask for card or bank details through this website.
Your rights
Under Indian data protection law you can ask us to do the following. Write to hello@tripstor.com and we will respond within a reasonable time, explaining the reason if we cannot act on a request.
- Tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it
- Correct or update details that are wrong or incomplete
- Erase details we no longer need
- Stop marketing messages, or withdraw any consent you gave
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to
Children
This website is for adults arranging travel. If a family enquiry includes a child’s details, a parent or guardian should provide them. Tell us if you believe a child’s data was shared without a parent’s consent and we will remove it.
Links to other sites
This website may link to other sites, such as destination or visa authorities. They have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will say so clearly on this page.
Questions and complaints
Write to hello@tripstor.com with the subject “Privacy” and we will reply personally. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational for your complaint.
